Ice Blue Winter Wedding

Winter Weddings

Many brides never even think about the option of a winter wedding and how gorgeous and spectacular it could be. Winter weddings are very popular in Denver, CO where millions of people live here just to enjoy the snow. More and more couples are choosing to skip the more expensive “summer” wedding and choosing to make their wedding more unique. Winter weddings at Bella Sera are exceptionally romantic, and winter rates give couples the perfect combination of cost savings while getting much more for their money. With a winter wedding that is well planned and creatively sewn together, a couple can create a celebration that is second to none.

Our couple planned an artistic photo shoot prior to their guests arriving so they could capture every detail of their winter wonderland wedding through the beautiful photographs taken by Mark Alison Photography. These photos are truly amazing, capturing the very essence of what the couple wanted everyone to experience – their unique personalities and love of the wintertime, beauty, romance, an icy winter ambiance, and the feeling of being in another place besides Brighton, CO.

This winter wonderland wedding was designed with one purpose…. to take their guests to another place and delight them in every way as they celebrate “their love” in winter ice surroundings. Bella Sera’s senior designer started with their concept and dream and helped them accomplish it through many elements and special touches. Beginning with the wedding ceremony, the ballroom was dripping with icicles, chairs were covered with gorgeous white satin chair coverings by Belinda’s Creations and winter white trees illuminated the altar and ceremony backdrop with hundreds of white lights. The floors were blanketed with artificial snow, snowflakes, a white aisle runner and candles down the aisle to create a dramatic entrance for the bridal party processional. The couple’s initials were carefully created with blue hydrangea petals on their aisle. As guests entered the ceremony room they were amazed and in awe of the spectacular setting and all of the fine details…something most of them had never seen or experienced before.

After the cocktail hour, the dinner ballroom was unveiled and the guests were taken into what the couple hoped would be “a magical place”. Guests were delighted and amazed like they were walking in a winter wonderland. They smiled with delight at the spectacular ice blue lighting by Lighting and Design by Scott that illuminated their dinner reception ballroom, all of the ice crystals and snowflakes that embellished each centerpiece, the crushed white table linens that were highlighted by the flickering snowflake votive candles and the special touch of their monogram on the dance floor. Their winter ice effect truly amazed and delighted their guests. A signature drink with blue gin was served to all of the guests and raised to toast the newlyweds as they began their new life together.

This wedding truly felt like a chapter out of a Winter Wonderland storybook.
