The Love Story of Kassie & Scott
The Love Story of Kassie & Scott
The day after Thanksgiving in Colorado it may not have snowed outside, but it sure was snowing indoors at Kassie and Scott’s wedding celebration at The Bella Sera. We were honored to have had this amazing couple choose our venue to celebrate their “love story”. Every meeting we had with Kassie and her Mom Tammy was pure joy. The couple chose a Winter Wonderland Theme with accents of blue lighting to highlight the beautiful white snow, silver crystals and icicle decor. The color blue is cooling, soothing and brings serenity to our lives and the dinner ballroom certainly accomplished this ambiance. However, the bride herself had just the right amount of RED accents to capture her groom’s attention and generate a jaw-dropping response from everyone as she cascaded down the stairs entering into the ceremony. Red is a very emotionally intense color promoting energy and high visibility. Her sassy red shoes, red garter and bouquet of red roses with diamond accessories showed us all just how fun and vibrant she is.
This Winter Wedding Ceremony was decorated with lanterns dripping with icicles, dangling snowflakes, crystal embellishments and Bella Sera’s signature winter white sparkling tree backdrop. The guests were delighted and pleasantly surprised with the unique theme and décor which made them feel the warmth and coziness of the indoors during a Winter Storm. Together we designed their winter wedding to both incorporate the many personal touches they already envisioned and the new ideas I had as their designer. The reason for the celebration is always the “love story” and celebrating the unity of two people coming together in a personalized ceremony that communicates to family and friends just why they are brought together. Their ceremony was designed to share this love story with beautiful words, a traditional lighting of the unity candle and beauty all around.
A Cinderella Story…Once upon a time there was a gorgeous bride named Kassie who read the story of Cinderella to her incredibly adorable flower girls as they gathered around her in their white and black polka dot dresses. Winter white trees sparkled around them as they listened in awe to every word, and dreamed themselves of become a beautiful bride like Kassie someday. Lets not forget to mention the touch of sassy RED each little flower girl had herself as an accessory. Each of the 6 flower girls carried the traditional accessory called a Kissing Ball or Pomander Ball as they walked down the ceremony aisle just before “Cinderella” entered.
This photo of Scott dancing down the aisle with his bride, dodging the handfuls of snow their guests tossed at them, captured the pure essence of the Winter Wonderland feel they wanted. It just wouldn’t have been the same if they walked down the aisle as husband and wife for the very first time dodging the traditional bubbles.
After all of the traditional elements of a Christian wedding had been completed and the next “lucky” single guy and girl caught the bouquet and garter, the party began. There was no shortage of “getting down” and partying at this celebration, and boy can these newlyweds dance.
