A Winter Quinceañera Theme You’ll Love
Most Winter Quinceañera themes are designed with snowflakes, and the colors blue and silver, however the gorgeous mint green theme that Izzy chose for her Quince is A Winter Quinceañera Theme You’ll Love! Winter isn’t always covered in icicles, snowflakes and blue skies; winter also displays lots of dead branches and soft green tones from evergreen branches dusted or covered in snow. This mint green winter color theme Izzy chose lead us to design something that gave her guests a cold winter night time forest type feel that was dusted with snow. Incorporating snowy winter branches, candles, and some winter dead branch decor ideas, it turned out so magical with the mint green lighting in our North Denver quince venue – The Bella Sera Event Center.
It’s hard to believe Izzy doesn’t dress up much, as she was so stunning. Her Mom said since she is very shy, and dressing up like this was a big change for her to be in this big beautiful gown and have her hair and makeup done fully.
This particular Quinceañera is near and dear to our hearts, as Isabella, “Izzy’s” parents, Misti and Jaime Sanchez, also got married here in 2016 at our reception venue in Colorado – The Bella Sera Event Center . I remember Izzy giving the most adorable speech with her brother Diego at her parent’s wedding 9 years ago, and now look at her all grown up and simply stunning in her mint green Quinceañera dress. Her brother Diego was in her court that included 5 total chambelan all decked out in mint green button ups and light blue jeans.
Quinceañera First Look with Dad and Brother
This moment right here just says it all. Family is everything, and to see the reaction from her Dad and her brother in this first look moment was just magical and so heart felt. This is why we love what we do as Quinceañera venue owners and staff. 🙂
Quinceañera Photo Ideas
There’s no better photo backdrop to capture the beauty of a Quinceañera dress with a long train, than the winding grand staircase at our quince salon. She was absolutely stunning, and the sequin and embellishment details on her formal dress were absolutely gorgeous. Every quince girl should feel like a princess on her 15th birthday, and have stunning photos like these to preserve the memories forever. She bought her Quinceañera Dress from locally owned – Daisy’s Boutique and Bridal
Quinceañera Themes
There are so many beautiful and creative Quinceañera themes, and winter is definitely one of our favorites. Other beautiful themes include Fairytale, Enchanted Forest, Masquerade and many more. Check out our popular article on 8 Amazing Quinceanera Themes for 2025
Quinceañera Court
Izzy chose 4 of her closest cousins to be her chambelanes in her court, and her brother Diego was her main chambelan. A Quinceanera court is also known as a Corte de Honor, and can be composed of both damas and chambelanes, or all damas, or all chambelan who have a close relationship with the Quince girl: siblings, cousins, and/or friends. There is no set number as to how many damas and chambelanes, it is up to the Quinceañera to decide how many members to choose for her court.

Quinceañera Waltz
Her waltz was beautifully choreographed, and the whole court did such an amazing job with their dance performance. The low lying fog made for a great special effect called Quinceanera “Dancing on the Clouds”. The song was “Vals Del Amor” by Joan Sebastian.
In a Quinceañera, the waltz (or Vals) is a core tradition. The waltz is a coming-of-age tradition that showcases the refinement and grace girls are now expected to display in their everyday life as a young woman. The waltz typically involves the Quinceañera and her court, but can also be with her father for the father-daughter dance, or one of her parental figures, such as an uncle or an older cousin.
For those of you who many not know, traditionally in Mexico, a young girl could not dance in public aside from school functions or family parties, and the waltz during the Quince party was seen as the first time she could publicly dance in front of her friends!
Modern Quinceañera waltzes often include:
- Choreographed routines performed by the quinceañera and her court
- A mix of traditional waltz steps with contemporary dance moves
- Special music selected by the quinceañera, which could be a traditional waltz or a modern song with personal significance
The performers spend months practicing the choreography to ensure the performance is memorable for everyone attending the celebration.
Quince Father Daughter Dance
Their father daughter dance song was Jon Mullins-Time Machine (Daughter version).
Quince Mother Daughter Dance
Izzy joked about not wanting to do a mother and daughter dance unless it was to the heavy metal song by the band Disturbed called “Down with the Sickness”. To freak her out, her mother got on the DJ mic and explained that this is what Izzy said, so that is what she was going to get. She asked the DJ to play the song just to freak Izzy out, and then it then faded into the real song which was Taylor Swift’s “Don’t you ever grow up”.
Quince and her Grandpa
Izzy got to do a special dance with her grandpa. She is the only granddaughter among all of his grandchildren, and her grandpa only has two sons, so they have a very special and unique bond. This was a moment that meant so much to both of them.
Fairytale Quinceanera Entrances
At The Bella Sera Event Center we make a big deal out of the Quince grand entrance. Guests love the surprise element of her coming off of our walk-out balcony, and then down the staircase to enter through a wall of bubbles into our Grand Dinner Ballroom. We call this our “Bubble Room Reveal”. Izzy’s grand entrance song was by $uicideboy$, it was an instrumental song of theirs called “A girl named drool and a pack of kools”.
Audio Guest Book
One of our favorite novelties at once-in-a-lifetime events like Quinceañera’s and Weddings is an Audio Guest Book. We constantly hear how fun it is to hear the fun and heartfelt messages from your guests the next day. Izzy said she received a really heartfelt message from a friend from her very early childhood years. But the best message was from one of her uncles who had a little bit too much drink late in the night, and left her a very funny message. 🙂
In Summary
Our staff had such a great time designing Izzy’s Winter themed Quinceañera, sharing in all of the special planning meetings such as her food tasting, timeline creation, design session, and her dance practice. Izzy said she had so much fun and loved being able to celebrate her big night with the people closest to her. She really enjoyed the food, our photobooth, and the overall feel of the entire night. This truly was a A Winter Quinceañera Theme You’ll Love.
Happy Birthday Izzy!
